Patrice’s Kids and Spar Boxing Welcome Children Back to School With Backpack Drive

It was a great day on August 10, 2021, as Houston area kids prepared to return to school for the first time since the Coronavirus health pandemic hit the United States. 

Patrice Griffin wanted to be sure they had a great start to the new school term after they spent over a year doing virtual learning. Patrice’s Kids partnered with boxing gym Spar Houston to host a school supply and backpack drive.

Together, they collected nearly 350 backpacks and filled them all with school supplies!

This year’s recipients were Casa de Esperanza (Casa Hope), We R Champions Child Placing Agency, and Piney Point Elementary School. 

Besides the backpacks, the kids got:

  • Notebooks

  • Pencils

  • Pens

  • Crayons

  • Glue

  • Calculators

  • Stress toys

  • Markers

  • Journals

  • Spiral notebooks 

  • Pencil cases

  • Rulers

  • Erasers

Patrice’s Kids thanks all of you who donated backpacks, school supplies, and financial gifts!
